Over the course of this summer, I embarked on an exciting journey at Verra Asia, to delve into the complex parts of how a small business thrives. From day one, I was warmly welcomed into a close-knit team that encouraged my curiosity and provided valuable mentorship. Immersed in the daily operations, I gained hands-on experience in various departments, including marketing, customer relations, and AI creation. Learning from the ground up, I witnessed the agile decision-making, resource optimisation, and adaptability that drive the success of a small business. This internship has been an eye-opening experience, showcasing the power of innovation, teamwork, and perseverance in making a significant impact on the business landscape. I am grateful for the opportunities Verra Asia has provided me and look forward to carrying these lessons into my future endeavours.

1. New Student Committee - During this service we helped new students who had just arrived at Stamford to settle into their classes and find their way around the school. Each student on the committee was assigned a new student on the first school day and we got to know them and help them around the school. Before school started we did an orientation to help the students adjust to the new environment before all the returning students came back to school.
2. HDB Block Clean-Up - During this service event, we worked with the AAS (American Association of Singapore) by walking to a nearby public apartment block and cleaning up litter from the ground.
3. Beach Clean-up - During this service event, we worked with the AAS (American Association of Singapore). We went to the Pasar Ris Reservoir and cleaned up any litter that was on the beach. After cleaning up the litter we put it into the recycling bin in order to have a sustainable public environment
4. Helping Supervise Bubble Soccer for the PCS Students - during this activity, we helped to blow up bubbles for the PCS students in order for them to play bubble soccer on the field, 5 other students and I had to collect all the resources needed and manage the different games that the students were going to play.
5. SPCA Junior Member - Over the summer we registered to be a junior member of the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Which would help raise money and support animals in need.

Over the course if my junior year at SAIS, I participated in 2 varsity sports team. Both allowing me to work on my communicative and team building skills. Additionally, I participated in international tournaments which allowed me to expand my understanding of the level of sports inclusion from different countries. Such as SEASAC (Southeast Asia Student Activities Conference), which is a year round tournament for each sport where students from South-East Asian countries come to play sports. The host location varies every year.

As a student aspiring to study business administration and marketing, I am equipped with essential skills gained through my academic journey. Problem-solving has been a cornerstone of my success, enabling me to tackle complex tasks and find innovative solutions. My experience in teamwork has taught me the value of collaboration, effective communication, and respecting diverse perspectives. I have proficient time and project management as I am able to, plan, organise, and manage projects efficiently, while working through multiple tasks or projects.

Additionally, I have embraced the art of collaboration with educators, seeking guidance and fostering enriching discussions. Armed with these skills, I am excited to apply them in university, where I aim to excel academically, contribute to team-based projects, and build strong connections with professors, peers, and potential mentors. I am determined to seize every opportunity to develop further and thrive in the dynamic fields of Business Administration and Marketing, preparing myself for a successful future in the business world.

Throughout my sophomore, junior, and senior years of high school, I earned a place on the Dean's List by implementing effective strategies. In my sophomore year, I focused on time management, seeking help when needed, and setting realistic goals. Junior year brought increased workload, but I diversified my interests, balanced rigor with self-care, and embraced challenges to become a well-rounded student. Receiving this recognition symbolised the culmination of hard work, personal growth, and a commitment to excellence, motivating me to continue striving for success in my senior year and beyond.
Travel
From a young age, I have been deeply interested in travel and have always enjoyed exploring the world. This passion was sparked by my family vacations and travel documentaries, leading to an interest in learning about new places and cultures. Embracing every opportunity to travel, I was able to gain a broader perspective on life, formed meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds, and developed valuable life skills. My love for travel has become an integral part of my identity, shaping my aspirations for my future academic and career paths, aiming to make a positive impact through cross-cultural understanding and global contribution.
