About Myself
I am an ambitious and driven individual who possesses a genuine thirst for knowledge and a deep passion for my chosen field of study. I have consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, dedicating countless hours to improving my skills and expanding my intellectual horizons. Beyond academics, I have actively engaged in various extracurricular activities and community service initiatives, which have shaped my character and instilled in me a sense of community and empathy. I am open to an environment that fosters intellectual growth, collaboration, and innovation, where I can further develop my abilities and contribute meaningfully to the university community.
My Course of Learning
As a senior in SAIS, I have found the road I would like to drive down for the rest of my academic career. I am inspired by business owners such as my mother who is an inspiring and motivational CEO of Verra Asia. Additionally, getting an insight on how the business world works has inspired me to dive deeper into courses of learning such as marketing, international business, business administration, and management. A few skills that make me stand out is the way I am able to strategically think, as my capacity to approach challenges with a strategic mindset demonstrates my ability to make informed decisions and drive effective business outcomes.

On the other hand, I also demonstrate skills such as proactive problem-solving as I proactively approach solving problems which shows that I take initiative and are capable of finding innovative solutions to complex issues, which are seen in the corporate world.

Through these skills I feel that I am able to stand out amongst other students who are willing to pursue this area of interest. Furthermore, these skills will be important to giving me an academic advantage amongst my peers in university.
My Education
Currently, at SAIS I am enrolled in multiple courses that are driven in the direction of studies in business for my future university endeavours. Such as IBDP Business Management HL and AP Microeconomics, both these courses have helped me understand the ways business and corporate companies operate on the surface and in depth.

For example, IBDP Business Management helps me as a student understand business by covering fundamental concepts, theories, and real-world case studies. It provides insights into business operations, market dynamics, and ethical considerations, fostering critical thinking and decision-making skills. With a global perspective and focus on management principles, the course equips me with a comprehensive understanding of business dynamics and prepares me for further studies or entrepreneurial endeavours.

Furthermore, AP Microeconomics helps myself as a student understand business by focusing on the principles of individual economic decision-making and how markets operate. It explores topics like supply and demand, market structures, consumer behaviour, and production costs, providing a foundation for analysing business behaviour and market dynamics. This understanding of microeconomic principles enables me to make informed business decisions, comprehend market forces, and predict the impact of economic factors on business operations.

As a student from an international school in Singapore, wanting to study business administration and marketing. The USA stands out as an appealing choice for my higher education. Its renowned universities offer academic excellence, diverse programs, and customisable curricula, promoting critical thinking and creativity. The country's cultural diversity and global networking opportunities foster cross-cultural understanding and enriching friendships. Additionally, the USA's leading research and innovation environment, combined with internship and job prospects, make it an attractive destination for myself and my career growth. By studying in the USA, aspiring business and marketing students such as myself, can gain a competitive edge, broaden their horizons, and unlock a world of possibilities for personal and professional growth.
My interest has also been sparked by Australian Universities. From what I have researched, Australia is an excellent choice for international students seeking a university education in business due to its high academic standards and diverse program offerings. It's welcoming and multicultural environment ensures a rich cultural experience and a smooth transition for students from abroad, just like myself. The country's commitment to safety, support, and opportunities further enhances its appeal as an ideal destination for academic and personal growth.
